Every deficiency. Every deadline. Every dollar. One board.

System Normal is software for fire alarm and fire protection service companies. The office, the technician's tablet and the customer's portal work from one record, so every notice, report, quote and invoice has a date and a name on it.

Founding places open for fire alarm and fire protection companies in the Las Vegas valley.

SYSTEM NORMAL

Try the keys.

The inspection ends. The clocks start.

A technician writes a deficiency, and from that moment the office owes things on separate schedules: a notice to the owner, a quote, a report to the fire department if the deficiency stays open, an invoice. In most companies those dates live in a spreadsheet or in someone's head.

  1. Found

The technician records it on the inspection, with photos.

  2. Owner notified

Written notice to the building owner starts the owner's window.

  3. 30 days later

Still open? The owner's window has ended.

  4. 2 business days after

A report is owed in IROL, and your office files it.

Impairments run faster

An immediate notice when a system goes out of service, then a written report by the next business day, with a fire watch when the fire department calls for one.

Each building, its own fire authority

These are Clark County's rules, in force since 11 January 2026. Other fire authorities set their own. Every building in System Normal carries its fire authority, and dates appear only where that authority's rules are set up.

One strip shows where every finding stands.

Every finding carries the same five facts, left to right. The legal side and the work side stay apart, so a finished repair never hides a report that's still owed.

Sample data.

A late repair doesn't erase a report

Every reporting obligation stays open until your office records the filing, with its reference and receipt.

Notices never overstate

Each notice is a version, and its evidence is kept together: sent, accepted by the owner's mail server, acknowledged through the notice.

Every date shows its rule

Holidays come from each fire authority's own calendar, and a date says which rule produced it.

Built for every seat in a fire protection company.

The office, the technicians, your customers and the owner each get their own view of the same record. Nobody types anything twice.

The office works one queue.

  • Reports owed, each with its due date and the packet your office files in IROL.
  • Notices issued as versions, with each one's evidence kept together.
  • One quote per visit, a section per finding. Customers approve section by section and add a PO when they need one.
  • Dispatch boards for alarm, sprinkler and extinguisher work, matched to each technician's skills and current credentials.
  • Invoices to the cent, or a hand-off to Spectrum when Spectrum issues them.

Technicians work the building, not the app.

  • Tablet layout with the device list on the left and the form on the right.
  • No signal in the basement? Work is saved on the device first and sent once the signal returns.
  • Re-tests from earlier visits come first, one press per result.
  • Photos with markup, measured values, and the last five results for every device.
  • Credentials checked: signing is blocked without a current credential for the work, and the screen says which one.
  • High-contrast mode for bright sun on a rooftop.

Customers approve and pay from their phone.

  • Opens on what needs them: quotes, invoices and notices waiting for their action.
  • Approve in part: a quote approved section by section, with the PO attached.
  • Pay by card or bank, with the payment's state shown until the money settles.
  • Every building's reports, and the visits coming up in the next 60 days.
  • Approvers and viewers: each person sees only their own buildings and does only what their role allows.

The owner sees the business, not the paperwork.

  • What's owed: reports owed, overdue reports and open exceptions, on the first screen.
  • Where the money is: quotes waiting, backlog, and job cost on service calls.
  • Approvals over your limits come to you. Everything else runs within the rules you set.
  • A preview before anything leaves the company, and an undo for every change made inside it.

What's in it, and what's next.

System Normal starts with fire alarm work in the Las Vegas valley. Sprinkler and extinguisher work follow, with more connections as partners sign on.

Move over without a big switch.

Nothing changes for your technicians or your customers until System Normal has worked on your own records.

  1. See it on a sample company

A walk-through on a sample fire company, with your questions on the table.

  2. Run it beside what you use

It runs next to your current system, on exports your office pulls. Your technicians change nothing yet.

  3. Bring your records across

Import a ServiceTrade export: see the counts and the skipped rows before anything is written, and undo the whole batch if it's wrong.

  4. Switch one slice at a time

One division, branch or crew at a time, with your customers told what's changing.

Your data stays yours

Export everything whenever you want, with a manifest of what's in it. If you leave, all of it leaves with you.

AI drafts, people decide

Alarms stay with your monitoring

System Normal runs the business around the systems. It never handles alarm signals.

About us

One of us ran a fire alarm and sprinkler company. The other has spent twenty years building the software his own companies ran on. Together we started System Normal.

Jaime Gomez

Co-founder, the trade

Jaime was president of Signal Fire, a fire alarm and sprinkler contractor in Las Vegas, until the company was sold in 2021. He knows how inspections, deficiencies and fire department filings really run, in the office and on the truck.

At System Normal he decides what the software must do for a fire company, and he's the first person you'll talk to.

  • President, Signal Fire, Las Vegas, 2018 to 2021
  • Fire alarm and sprinkler inspection, testing and service

David Legisima

Co-founder, the software

David has founded three companies and sold all three. The most recent, Ship My Orders, an e-commerce logistics company, made the Inc. 5000 three times. For more than twenty years he has designed the software his companies ran on.

At System Normal he leads the build.

  • Three companies founded, three sold
  • Inc. 5000 honoree three times

Why System Normal

Fire protection companies are judged on what happens after the inspection: the notice, the quote, the repair, the report the fire department expects. That work runs on separate clocks owned by different people, and it's where follow-through slips.

We work closely with a small group of founding companies, so their way of working shapes the software.
